LaRue students shine in JV Academic Challenge

LCHS holds eight-school JV event

LaRue County High School’s JV Academic Team had a good showing at the JV Challenge, hosted at LaRue County High School.

JV Challenge is a competition sponsored by the Kentucky Association for Academic Competition in which only freshmen and sophomores can compete. Eight teams came to LCHS for the competition including Bardstown, Adair County, Green County, Washington County, Danville, Marion County and Russell County. The students competed in five written assessment categories – Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, and Arts and Humanities – and competed in Quick Recall.

LaRue County placed fourth in Quick Recall and these students placed individually: John Slack – fourth in Social Studies; Shan Lin – sixth in Social Studies; Zachary Thurman – sixth in Science.
