The Lady Hawks began 18th District play Monday with a 10-3 win over Hart County at Caverna.
“It was just a great team win,” Coach Mielle DiStefano said. “Anytime you can utilize 14-15 players, and they all help in one way or another, you know it’s a good night. I like the way we kept our composure after the first. Ellen Huff just came up big for us.”
LCHS was not as successful in Tuesday's softball championship game. For the fourth time in five years, Green County defeated the Lady Hawks in the title match. The final score was 4-1..
