Lady Hawks fall to North Hardin

The Lady Hawks lost a close game 3-2 Sept. 24 to 5th Region rival North Hardin Lady Trojans.

Junior midfielder Lexy Lopez scored two goals, including the game-winner early in the second half, for the Lady Trojans.

Lopez scored off an assist from senior Chanel Roberts to give North Hardin a 2-1 lead in the first half. 

After the Lady Hawks tied it on a goal by junior midfielder Sydney Price, Lopez scored the game-winner on a chip from sophomore forward Dorothy Suzanne 12 minutes into the second half.

Junior midfielder Shelbi Brooks scored off a pass from junior defender Peyton Gardner, while sophomore forward Rachel Wolf had an assist.

Senior keeper Kasey Wells made 17 saves for LaRue County which had won two straight against Breckinridge and Taylor counties.

The Lady Hawks lost 0-1 to Marion County on Sept. 26. 

Their final regular season game is 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at Taylor County.
