Lady Hawks fall to Meade in season opener

LaRue’s Lady Hawks lost their season opener against the host Meade County Lady Waves, 55-50.
The Lady Hawks trailed by two points, 7-9, at the end of the first quarter. Meade outscored LaRue 9-18 in the second quarter.
The teams combined for 49 fouls – and LaRue County coach Travis Wootton was given a technical foul late in the fourth quarter. The Lady Hawks struggled from the foul line, making just 20-of-41 shots.
