Lyndsay Whitlock leads LaRue with 14 points

LaRue County fell victim to Central Hardin's inside attack Friday and lost the girls' varsity game 49-31.

The Lady Hawks gave up 18 to Central center Katie Fritts and were outrebounded 37-26.

LaRue scored the first goal but never led again. Lyndsay Whitlock recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds to led the team.

Poor shooting handicapped the Hawks. The team was 12 of 43 on two-point tries and missed all eight 3-point attempts. Central Hardin hit 53 percent from the field in the first half as they opened a 29-17 lead. For the game, Central connected on 45 percent of its two-point shots.

The Lady Hawks are 10-6 on the season and begin a three-game homestand Tuesday against Glasgow. On Friday, they host Elizabethtown and Grayson County visits the following Monday night.
