The Lady Hawks lost their second straight Thursday in three sets to Green County (25-16, 25-19, 25-15).

Senior middle hitter Ivy Brown paced visiting LaRue County with six kills, two blocks and one dig, while senior middle hitter Alley Evans had four kills, two aces, two blocks and one dig.

Sophomore outside hitter Chloe Owen added three digs, two kills and one ace, while the Yingling sisters – Alyson and Tessa – combined for four kills.

Caverna caves
LaRue’s Ladies returned to their winning ways Monday with a 3-0 victory over 18th District rival Caverna (25-6, 25-15, 25-7).

Brown had 11 kills and four aces. Evans added seven digs and two aces. Owen and senior setter Lorren Newby had seven aces apiece.

Owen contributed three kills and Newby handed out 25 assists.

Senior defensive specialist Sadie Peters had seven digs and three aces, while junior outside hitter Alyson Yingling tallied three kills and three aces.
