The Kentucky High School Athletics Association has issued a draft plan to redraw district alignments in football for the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 seasons.

In a letter to superintendents, athletic directors and coaches, KHSAA Commissioner Julian Tackett said school enrollment data for the 2008-09 and 2009-10 years was averaged to place schools in the six classes.

The new alignment would put 31 schools in Class 6A (the largest); 51 in Class 5A; 38 in Class 4A; 41 in Class 3A; 40 in Class 2A; and 33 in Class 1A.
