Kevin Clark is the new community engagement branch manager at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana’s Elizabethtown office, which serves Hardin, LaRue, Grayson, Nelson, Marion and Taylor counties in central Kentucky.

“Kevin brings many years of marketing, networking, media relations and volunteer experience to the position,” said Jeri Swinton, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana. “He has lived in Hardin County for more than a decade and served with many of the community’s organizations and associations during that time.”

Clark serves on the marketing committee of United Way of Central Kentucky; business administration advisory board of Elizabethtown Community and Technical College; executive board, Kentucky Chiropractic Association; advisory board, Cub Scout Pack 134; and board member, Vine Grove Youth Soccer League.

Clark’s focus will be volunteer recruitment and fund development within the central Kentucky region. Fund development is a key initiative, given that the average cost to match and support each Little Brother or Little Sister with an adult mentor is $1,200. The agency’s signature fund-raising event, Bowl for Kids’ Sake, is held each spring, and accounts for roughly one-third of the Big Brothers Big Sisters annual budget.

“I am excited about this new challenge and am ready to get things moving,” Clark said. “My goal is to increase the visibility of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana, especially as the need for our services continues to grow,” he added. “If we can touch more children’s lives, we create the opportunity for a brighter future for them and for the community as a whole.”
