The Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission will host a fall hike through the Vernon-Douglas State Nature Preserve in Hardin County at 1 p.m. Oct. 6.
KSNPC Ecologist Martina Hines will lead the hike along a 3.5 mile trail that is rated moderate to strenuous with some steep sections. Wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes and bring portable water. Participants will meet in the parking lot of the preserve prior to the hike.
Registration is required by contacting the commission at 502-573-2886. There is no cost for this event.
