Teens broke window, took a two-liter

Two juveniles are being charged with burglarizing Barren Run Baptist Church.
LaRue County Deputy Russell McCoy responded to a complaint of a broken window at the church on May 5. He learned that three boys had walked away from TLC, a facility that houses state agency children placed through the Cabinet for Families and Children, that day.
Two of the boys had broken a window at the church and “went in and got a two-liter bottle of pop and left,” said McCoy. They allegedly returned to TLC afterwards. No further damage was discovered inside the church.
While driving to the church, he located a third boy who had walked away from TLC. The boy was not involved in the break-in at the church, McCoy said.
The court-designated worker is handling the juvenile cases.
