With a $5 billion loss in the past year by the U.S. Postal Service, why are there two post offices in a place the size of Buffalo?
Village Post Offices began cropping up in July 2011 as a means to provide postal service to areas with closed post offices or those with reduced hours.
The VPO at Y-Not-Stop was opened when the Buffalo Post Office closed during an infestation of brown recluse spiders. The postal service decided to continue the partnership when the post office re-opened.
