Surgery required after jump fails

By The Staff

A Magnolia area man is recovering from a motocross accident that occurred over the weekend.

Doug Wells, 40, of Jonesville was driving in a father-son motocross event in Trimble County when he made a jump that went awry, according to his brother A. Wells.

He suffered broken ribs, a collapsed lung and a neurological injury. He underwent surgery Tuesday at University of Louisville Hospital. A full recovery is expected after therapy, his brother said.

The brothers own Wells Trans-Tech Inc. in Magnolia.
