Unemployment rates fell in 108 Kentucky counties between September 2011 and September 2012, while 12 county rates increased, according to the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training, an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.
LaRue County’s rate fell to 6.7 percent in September from 7.2 percent in August. In September 2011, the rate was 7.9 percent.
Of a 6,829 civilian work force, 457 were unemployed.
