Unemployment rates rose in all 120 Kentucky counties between March 2008 and March 2009, according to the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training, an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.
LaRue County’s rate was 12.7 percent, up from 12.4 percent in February and more than double the rate of a year ago. In March 2008, LaRue’s unemployment rate was 6.2 percent.
In the Lincoln Trail area, Grayson County had the highest rate – 14 percent. Hardin County’s was lowest at 10.5 percent.
