An inmate who allegedly escaped last May from the LaRue County Detention Center has been indicted by a grand jury.
Jorge Ivan Vegan-Caban, 25, was charged with second-degree escape and second-degree persistent felony offender May 16.
He was serving a three-year sentence in the jail after being found guilty of first-degree possession of controlled substance in Kenton County. He had been at the jail less than two months when he climbed over the fence. It was three days before employees noticed his absence.
