Indictments – May 2012

 Several people were indicted May 21 by a LaRue County grand jury.

Caitlin Veirs (1993) of Upton was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and complicity; first-degree trafficking in controlled substances, less than 2 grams meth and complicity; possession of a controlled substance and complicity; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity; and possession of marijuana and complicity.

The alleged offenses occurred May 8. She is accused of acting alone or in concert with Nicholas Saladino.

Bail was set at $50,000 cash only on condition of dusk-to-dawn curfew and no contact with co-defendant.

Nicholas Saladino (1987) of Upton was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and complicity; first-degree trafficking in controlled substances, less than 2 grams meth and complicity; possession of a controlled substance and complicity; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity; and possession of marijuana and complicity.

The alleged offenses occurred May 8. He is accused of acting alone or in concert with Caitlin Veirs.

Bail was set at $50,000 cash only on condition of dusk-to-dawn curfew and no contact with co-defendant.

The LaRue County Sheriff’s Department investigated.

Joseph W. Floyd (1985) of Sonora was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and complicity; possession of a controlled substance and complicity; and possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity.

The alleged offenses occurred March 28. He is accused of acting alone or in concert with Brandon Moore.

Bail was set at $25,000 cash only on condition of dusk-to-dawn curfew and no contact with co-defendant.

Brandon W. Moore (1986) of Upton was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and complicity; possession of a controlled substance and complicity; and possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity.

The alleged offenses occurred March 28. He is accused of acting alone or in concert with Joseph Floyd.

Bail was set at $50,000 cash only on condition of dusk-to-dawn curfew and no contact with co-defendant.

Christy Ann Burton (1980) of Hodgenville was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and complicity; possession of a controlled substance and complicity; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity; possession of marijuana and complicity.

The alleged offenses occurred May 13. She is accused of acting alone or in concert with Mark Tungate Jr.

Bail was set at $50,000 cash only on condition of dusk-to-dawn curfew and no contact with co-defendant.

Mark Thomas Tungate Jr. (1981) of Hodgenville was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and complicity; possession of a controlled substance and complicity; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity; possession of marijuana and complicity.

The alleged offenses occurred May 13. He is accused of acting alone or in concert with Christy Ann Burton.

Bail was set at $50,000 cash only on condition of dusk-to-dawn curfew and no contact with co-defendant.

The LaRue County Sheriff’s Department investigated.

Clinton Keith Martin (1989) of Hustonville was charged with two counts of third-degree assault and being a persistent felony offender, second degree.

He is accused of assaulting two deputies on Jan. 22.

Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

Hodgenville City Police investigated.

Atari Markeem Hardin (1982) of Radcliff was charged with flagrant non support. The alleged offense occurred between July 23, 2010 and May 10, 2012, resulting in an arrearage of $5,237.46.

Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.

The Division of Child Support investigated.

Joseph Edward Whelan III (1976) of Hodgenville was charged with criminal abuse in the first degree, victim under age 12, fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest.

He is accused of “intentionally abusing” a person 12 years of age or less and using or threatening physical force or violence in an effort to prevent his  arrest. The alleged acts occurred Nov. 27, 2011.

Bail was set at $15,000 cash only on condition of dusk-to-dawn curfew and no communication with alleged victim.

Hodgenville City Police investigated.

Derrick Deion Saunders (1985) of Louisville was charged with two counts of forgery in the second degree and complicity; two counts of possession of a forged instrument in the second degree and complicity; two counts of theft by unlawful taking under $500 and complicity; and first-degree persistent felony offender.

He is accused of acting alone or in concert with Delnicha Hall in “falsely making, completing or altering” a check on the account of Sunrise Manor and passing it to IGA . The alleged offenses occurred Sept. 1, 2011.

Bail is set at $25,000 cash only on condition of dusk-to-dawn curfew and no communication with alleged victim or co-defendant.

Delnicha Kelly Hall (1990) of Louisville was charged with two counts of forgery in the second degree and complicity; two counts of possession of a forged instrument in the second degree and complicity; two counts of theft by unlawful taking under $500 and complicity; and second-degree persistent felony offender.

She is accused of acting alone or in concert with Derrick Deion Saundersl in “falsely making, completing or altering” a check on the account of Sunrise Manor and passing it to IGA . The alleged offenses occurred Sept. 1, 2011.

Each were arraigned June 4 in LaRue Circuit Court.

The indictment of a person by a grand jury is an accusation only and the person is innocent until and unless proven guilty.
