Most city, county races are on the ballot next year

The general election is about a year away: Nov. 2, 2010.
Partisan candidates have until Jan. 26 to file for office. Last week, LaRue County Judge/Executive Tommy Turner became the first LaRue County candidate to return his paperwork to the county clerk’s office.
Turner, who is running for his seventh term, has faced opponents three times during his tenure. He usually files early and wanted the public to know his intentions, he said.
