Herald's Mr. and Miss Sweetheart, couples' contests have a few changes, plenty of chances to win

-A A +A

It’s time to spotlight your little heartbreaker’s photo in The LaRue County Herald News.

Our annual Mr. and Miss Sweetheart contest for children begins this week – with a few changes.

We’ve eliminated the age categories and expanded the prizes.

Enter your child or grandchild, newborn to age 5, by clipping out the coupon in this week’s paper. Bring or mail it, along with your child’s photo, to our office with a $5 entry fee. The deadline for entries is Feb. 1.

Your child will receive a color photo in the Feb. 6 and 13 editions of the newspaper, a Herald News T-shirt and a chance to win a larger prize and represent the newspaper in the Lincoln Days Parade.

Friends and family have the chance to vote for the winner. A free entry form is included in this and next week’s Herald News. Additional ballots can be purchased for $1 each at our office at 40 Shawnee Dr., Hodgenville. The deadline for ballots is Feb. 15.

The proceeds will be used to fund our Newspaper-in-Education program that provides newspapers for several LaRue County classrooms.

The grand prize winners will be published Feb. 20.

See more information in the ad on page 2A.

All entries and winner will be published Feb. 13.
