With winter on its way, LaRue County Community Action has started its LIHEAP assistance program.
The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program subsidy component which helps low-income families pay heating bills. Monday was the first day to apply for assistance. Applications are accepted based on alphabetical order of the last name of the head of the household. But Faith Miller says the LaRue County office works with any applicants who can’t meet that schedule.
The Community Action office is at 120 S. Greensburg St., Hodgenville.
