Hawks win in opening round of Capital City Classic

 The LaRue County Hawks defeated Frankfort Western Hills 73-58 Thursday in the Capital City Classic.

Senior guard Kelton Ford neared a quadruple-double as the Hawks rolled past the host Wolverines. 

Ford had 28 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and seven steals, while junior forward Kody Key-Close added 20 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Junior forward Tyler Howell and sophomore forward Caleb Sheffer each scored six points for LaRue County, which outscored Western Hills 38-24 after halftime.
