Hawks continue winning ways over Meade, Green

Host LaRue County (17-3) built a 20-point lead in the first half and held on for a 63-51 win Feb. 3 over Meade County.

Senior post Bryan Bault had 22 points, seven rebounds, four steals and one block for the Hawks (16-3), winners of 3-of-4.

LaRue County senior forward Tyler Hornback just missed a double-double (19 points, nine rebounds) and senior guard Christian Seymour added 11 points, four steals and two assists.

Defeat Green

LaRue County avenged an earlier loss to Green County and earned the top spot in the 18th District standings.

The boys’ varsity basketball team is 17-3 on the season following Friday night’s 61-58 win in Greensburg. The Hawks’ only loss in district play came Jan. 9 at home against Green County.

The team makes another road trip Friday to Taylor County. The next scheduled home game is Saturday, Feb. 14, against Logan County.
