Hardin-LaRue metro area in Forbes listing

The Elizabethtown Metropolitan Statistical Area has notched another honor, this time from a major business publication.

Forbes magazine ranked the Elizabethtown MSA — consisting of Hardin and LaRue counties — No. 34 overall among the best small places for business and careers out of 184 MSAs across the United States.

The area was sandwiched between two Pacific Northwest MSAs in Wenatchee, Wash., at 33 and Medford, Ore., at  35. Manhattan, Kan., near Fort Riley, took the top spot on the list and Vineland, N.J., rounded out the list at 184.
