There’s something special about the bond between grandparents and their grandchildren. Some have even said that no cowboy was ever faster on the draw than a grandparent pulling a baby picture out of a wallet.
Perhaps that’s the reason both district elementary schools and the middle school were packed with papaws and mammaws as they celebrated Grandparents’ Day last week.
“It creates a great atmosphere,” said Marsha Duncan, Youth Service Center coordinator whose office sponsored the two-day event at LaRue County Middle School.
