The day started as most others. Up before dawn, feed the dog, fight for bathroom time, get dressed and out the door.
And as usual, life became more complicated on the other side of that door.
Driving last Wednesday on Lincoln Parkway, the car began to shake and shimmy and the unpleasant thumpity, thump sound made it clear that a tire had blown out.
Just ahead was a median. Without incident, the car easily found its way off the four-lane highway onto a paved, flat surface. For that, I am thankful.
