LaRue County didn’t take advantage of its height.
Turnover problems, foul trouble and a lack of aggressive rebounding left the Lady Hawks with a sinking feeling after a frenetic final minute Friday night.
Now, they’re saddled way behind in the 18th District regular-season title race.
Green County sophomore Allie Ingram hit 1-of-2 free throws with 1.7 seconds left to clinch a 59-58 victory over visiting LaRue County before Lady Hawks freshman guard Alexis Brewer made a ¾-court 3-pointer at the buzzer to bring the final margin to one.
