Almost 31 percent of LaRue County voters turned out Tuesday for the General Election. In county, Democrats took every race except for Commissioner of Agriculture - Republican James R. Comer defeated Robert Farmer 1,989 to 889. Comer appears to be the only Republican to win statewide. Incumbent Governor Steven L. Beshear had a strong lead over Republican David L. Williams statewide as polls closed. In LaRue County, Beshear won 1,686 to 1,075 with Independent Gatewood Galbraith netting 179 votes. Other totals in LaRue County are: Secretary of State: Republican Bill Johnson - 1,007 Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes - 1,891 Attorney General: Republican Todd P'Pool - 1,282 Democrat Jack Conway - 1,621 Auditor of Public Accounts: Republican John T. Kemper - 1,184 Democrat Adam H. Edelen - 1,644 State Treasurer: Republican K.C. Krosbie - 1,266 Democrat L.J. "Todd" Hollenbach - 1,464 Libertarian Kenneth C. Moellman Jr. - 129
