There will be a benefit raffle and yard sale for Jeremy Noe, 28, of Upton on Sept. 6 at the Upton Community Center on College St.
Noe was diagnosed with stage four melanoma on his left ear in June and will be unable to work for at least a year. The problems with his ear began in February 1998 when Noe was in a car accident. He was thrown through the windshield and his ear was severed. His ear was reattached and he was told it would be very sensitive to the sun. Unfortunately, Noe's employment with an asphalt company required him to be outdoors much of the time.
