A benefit for the Kristie Allen family will be Oct. 19 at the LaRue County Fairgrounds. Bluegrass Express will perform. Proceeds will go towards Kristie’s burial expenses.
Christian Church serving meals during car show
Hodgenville Christian Church Annex will serve food during the Goodtime Cruisers car show 4-7 p.m. Oct. 19. Rain or shine. Chili, vegetable soup, sandwiches, hotdogs and drinks. All proceeds go to the church.
Saint Catherine Academy Autumn Fest
Saint Catherine Academy in New Haven will have Autumn Fest Oct. 19. A turkey dinner will be 4-7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Tickets are $9 for adults; $5 for children; carryout is $9. METHODIST MEN: Spaghetti dinner and bake sale

Tractor Show: Gary Rock fundraiser
“Farmers Rock” tractor show is being planned for 2-5 p.m. Nov. 2 at Sportsman’s Lake, Hodgenville. Proceeds will benefit Gary Rock, who was injured in a farm accident. Donation of $10 to enter show by Oct. 25. There will be live and silent auctions, a dance, activities and games for children, corn hole tournament, hay bale toss and vendor set ups. The Perkins Brothers will perform as Elvis and Meatloaf 3-4 p.m. The band, Tennessee Bound, will perform 4-5 p.m. The LaRue County Cattlemen’s Association will serve a meal 5-6 p.m.; the live auction begins at 6. Snookie Morrison and Santa’s Helpers are collecting new and gently used toys and batteries for the 47th annual Santa Run on Dec. 24. Donations are accepted at Santa’s Workshop, 760 Salem Lake Road, Hodgenville, or one of the volunteers will pick up the items.
