Two convicted felons who walked away from a halfway house in Louisville Jan. 19 were apprehended in LaRue County by the sheriff’s department.
David Brewer, 36, of the Levelwoods area near the LaRue/Taylor line, was serving a sentence for flagrant non-support. Charles Overbey, 42, of Mason County, was serving a sentence for possession of controlled substance (cocaine), according to Deputy Russell McCoy.
The men were arrested without incident, McCoy said. They were charged with probation violations.
The men told McCoy they “didn’t like the halfway house.”
Sheriff Bobby Shoffner and several deputies assisted with the case.
