The Western Kentucky University Forensics team won its 23rd consecutive state championship Saturday.
Ellis Fraser, a graduate of LaRue County High School, celebrated with his team as he finished fourth in after-dinner speaking, sixth in dramatic interpretation and sixth in poetry interpretation.
Fraser is a sophomore from Hodgenville.
This year’s tournament, hosted at Transylvania University, featured teams from all across the Commonwealth participating in speech and debate events.
