Four indicted by grand jury

Several people were indicted March 19 by a LaRue County grand jury.

Jimmy D. Underwood(1965) of Campbellsville was charged with first-degree assault; first-degree wanton endangerment; operating motor vehicle while license suspended for DUI, first offense; operating motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, second offense; reckless driving; and possession of open container in vehicle.

The alleged offenses occurred Jan. 29. Underwood is accused of striking Robert Russell Ray, who was operating a motorcycle, with his vehicle on Jan. 29.

Bond was set at $5,000 cash on condition of dusk-to-dawn curfew except for employment, no violations of the penal code, remain drug and alcohol-free and no contact with the alleged victim.

He will be arraigned April 2 in LaRue Circuit Court.

The LaRue County Sheriff’s Office investigated.

Althea Hope Blan(1969) of Elizabethtown was charged with possession of a controlled substance, first degree, second offense; possession of drug paraphernalia; and first-degree persistent felony offender.

She is accused of unlawfully possessing methamphetamine on Dec. 21, 2011, and having been previously convicted of complicity, manufacturing methamphetamine and other charges in LaRue and Grayson Counties.

Bail was set at $50,000 cash only and condition of dusk-to-dawn curfew, no violation of penal code, and remain drug and alcohol free.

She will be arraigned April 2 in LaRue Circuit Court.

Brandon Christopher Branham(1992) of Shepherdsville was charged with receiving stolen property and complicity; and theft by deception $500 or more and complicity.

He is accused of acting alone or in concert with Anthony Blackford in receiving, retaining or disposing of a 6X10-feet utility trailer, a 52-inch Scag walk behind mower and two weed trimmers, having the value of $500 or more but less than $10,000.

The alleged offense occurred between Dec. 2, 2011 and Jan. 1, 2012.

Bail was set at $25,000 cash only and no contact with alleged victim.

He will be arraigned April 2 in LaRue Circuit Court.

Anthony Blackford(1991) of Lebanon Junction was charged with receiving stolen property and complicity; and theft by deception $500 or more and complicity.

He is accused of acting alone or in concert with Brandon Branham in receiving, retaining or disposing of a 6X10-feet utility trailer, a 52-inch Scag walk behind mower and two weed trimmers, having the value of $500 or more but less than $10,000.

The alleged offense occurred between Dec. 2, 2011 and Jan. 1, 2012.

Bail was set at $25,000 cash only and no contact with alleged victim.

He will be arraigned April 2 in LaRue Circuit Court.

The indictment of a person by a grand jury is an accusation only and the person is innocent unless and until proven guilty.
