Four Hodgenville residents are facing drug charges after the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant June 19 on Beechtree Drive.
LaRue County Sheriff Merle Edlin said officers recovered more than 3 ounces of cocaine, along with scales, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
“It doesn’t sound like a lot, but it is,” said Edlin. He estimated the street value of the illegal drug at several thousand dollars.
Jamarquis Handley, 30, and Jason A. Lee, 42, were each charged with first-degree trafficking in controlled substance, second offense. They were lodged in the LaRue County Detention Center under $50,000 cash bond.
Vera C. Weathers, 56, was charged with first-degree trafficking in controlled substance (cocaine). Her bond was set at $25,000 cash.
Cedrick C. Powell, 26, was charged with possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and buy or possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $500 which was posted June 20. He will be arraigned July 2 in LaRue District Court.
Artie Price, 29, also was arrested at the residence on a felony warrant. According to court records, officers served her with a circuit court summons to a charge of failure to report change in order to receive benefits.
She was also charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument. Her bond was set at $5,000.
Handley, Lee, Weathers and Price will be arraigned Wednesday in LaRue District Court.
