A 2007 Town and Country driven by Blond Puckett, 90, of Magnolia was traveling southbound on Lincoln Parkway when he failed to come to a stop behind several cars at a red light, according to the LaRue County Sheriff’s Office.

Puckett’s van struck a 2009 Ford Mustang driven by Angela Miller, 38, of Buffalo. Emily Miller, her teenage daughter, was a passenger in Miller’s vehicle. Both Angela and Emily were taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle.

Puckett was transported by LaRue County EMS at the request of family to Hardin Memorial Hospital.

The force of the collision from the first two vehicles sent Miller’s Mustang into the rear of a third vehicle.

Erin Hodges, 28, of Greensburg was the driver of the third vehicle, a 2005 Altima. Hodges’ vehicle was shoved into the back of a 2002 F-150 driven by Gary Jerry, 79, of Crestwood.

Hodges and Jerry were not transported for injuries and Jerry’s vehicle took little to no damage.

Witnesses reported that Puckett did not make an attempt to brake even though the light was red, according to police.

The first three vehicles involved sustained major damage and were towed from the scene.
