Two years ago, Buffalo Elementary and Magnolia Elementary Schools were consolidated to form Abraham Lincoln Elementary.
Since then, the LaRue County School Board has researched ways of using the two old school buildings which have stood empty since the consolidation.
In recent months, AU Associates, a Lexington developer, has presented a proposal to create apartments for seniors in the Buffalo school, which was built in 1936.
