A former employee of Renaissance Recycling Center in Hodgenville has pleaded guilty to theft from the center.
James Thomas Snyder, 37, of Sonora, pleaded guilty to a count of theft by unlawful taking in LaRue District Court last month. A second count was merged with the first.
Snyder admitted to taking a file cabinet from the LaRue County Detention Center and selling it at a recycling center in Hardin County in August. According to court documents, he kept the money from the sale instead of turning it over to the recycling center.
