Five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Friday at the intersection of Lincoln Parkway and Tonieville Road.
Olivia Curry, 23, of Buffalo, was driving a 1997 Toyota Camry on Lincoln Parkway about 4 p.m., according to LaRue County Deputy Robby Brownfield. As she turned onto Tonieville Road, the Camry was struck in the passenger side by a 2007 Hyundai Sonata GL driven by Joyce Graham, 62, of Vine Grove.
The Sonata was northbound on Lincoln Parkway at the time of the crash.
The Camry spun, left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch, facing south.
Curry’s vehicle was struck on the passenger side, which sent the car into a slight spin off the roadway and into a nearby ditch.
Curry received several injuries as a result of the accident including a gash to her forehead and glass cuts along her right arm.
Graham and her three passengers, Beverly Grunwald, 36, Alissa Grunwald, 15, and Dustin Grunwald, 14, also complained of injuries.
All five were transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by Casey County EMS.
LaRue County Fire and Rescue also responded.
Both vehicles suffered significant damage. Curry’s car had a large dent on the passengers’ side and broken windows, while Graham’s vehicle had front send damage.
Sheriff Merle Edlin assisted with the investigation.
