LaRue County Fiscal Court, meeting at the courthouse in Hodgenville Nov. 10, appointed Robert Enlow Jr., and Mae Burden to the LaRue County Extension Board.

The two will serve from January 2012 through December 2014.

In other business, the court hired Eddie Humphrey as a full time road department employee.

Clyde Veirs, county road supervisor, reported that his crews have already begun to prepare for winter weather as they installed snow plow hitches on their trucks. They also spread rock around mailboxes on John Hines Road; hauled rock to Farris, Grover Thompson, and R. Skaggs roads and as backfill on a new bridge installed on Goodin Williams Road.

Crews also chip sealed Cantrell Road; ditched a section of Tedder Lane; cut a dead tree on Union Church Road, installed curve(chevron) signs on Alvin Brooks Road; replaced name signs on Wayne Ennis, Whelan, Mount Sherman-Ward roads and Old Dixie Loop in Upton.

Several of the magistrates expressed concerns from residents in all districts needing potholes filled.
