Real property taxes for LaRue Countians will remain about the same as last year as LaRue County Fiscal Court approved the compensating rate during a meeting at the courthouse in Hodgenville Sept. 11.
The rate was set at 18.7 cents per $100 of assessed value.
“I believe this is the third straight year we’ve chosen the compensating rate,” said Tommy Turner, judge-executive. “This rate produces an amount of revenue approximately equal to that produced in the preceding year from real property.”
