LaRue County Fiscal Court, meeting at the courthouse in Hodgenville June 11, heard first reading of the 2013-14 budget ordinance that Judge-executive Tommy Turner termed “debt-free.”
“It’s a good, solid budget set up so, with the exception of jail debt which a lot of counties are experiencing, it will pay everything off by the end of the budget term,” Turner said. “It allows for paving, bridge construction and building a pavilion at the environmental center.”
