FISCAL COURT: County attempts to recover funds from paramedic training

LaRue County Fiscal Court authorized county attorney Dale Morris to begin litigation against a former paramedic for breach of contract.

Tommy Turner, county judge-executive, explained the county had entered into a contract with Javier Aleman which stipulated that the county would pay for his schooling to be a paramedic with the requirement that he agree to a three-year commitment to work for LaRue’s EMS. The amount the county paid was just over $6,000, according to Pat Helm, emergency medical services director.
