Emergency communications are being transferred to the new 240-foot tower located near the county maintenance building, LaRue County Judge-executive Tommy Turner told magistrates meeting at the courthouse in Hodgenville Oct. 9.
“We have approval from the FAA to go as high as 300 feet,” Turner said. Eventual plans call for a remote-controlled high-definition camera to be placed at the tower’s top, giving a 360-degree view of the surrounding area.
