The LaRue County Farmer’s Market kicked off a new season last Friday.
According to Abby Tate, Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program Assistant at the U.K. Extension Office in LaRue County, the market began in 2008 with the mission “To publicly support and sustain our local farmers markets in the long term, for the benefit of farmers, consumers and our communities.”
Currently 10 vendors are signed up for this season, which runs May through September; there are seven returning vendors and three new.
