Citing a perceived lack of community interest, organizers of the LaRue County Farmers’ Market have decided to close shop after five years.
The market – which has been open one day each week in the past – will not open this season.
The LaRue County Extension office held a couple of meetings earlier this year to discuss the plans for the market. The turnout was much smaller than anticipated. Three potential vendors attended the meetings – one of which decided to not participate due to the small turnout.
