Kentucky Grazing Conference
The 12th annual Kentucky Grazing Conference will begin at 10 a.m. Oct. 13 at the WKU Expo Center, Bowling Green. Topics related to grazing will be discussed. There will also be several exhibits of grazing related products. There is a $15 registration fee. Contact the Extension Office at 358-3401 for more information.

Pork Producers meet
The LaRue County Pork Association will meet 7 p.m. Oct. 17 at the LaRue County Extension Office in Hodgenville. A meal will be served. All interested individuals are invited to attend.

Making Money Growing Food
The program “Making Money Growing Food” will begin at 9 a.m. Oct. 20 at the Saint Catherine Mother House in Springfield. Registration is at 8:15 a.m. Sessions include large volume sales, livestock distribution projects, specialty products, public school food service, the wine market and regulations. Wildlife Habitat
applications accepted
The Elizabethtown Farm Service Agency is accepting applications for Kentucky’s final 593 acres under Conservation Reserve Program practices titled “State Acres for Wildlife Habitat.” Producers who own or operate acreage located within one of the approved SAFE areas can submit offers to voluntarily enroll acres in CRP contracts for 10 to 15 years.
Offers will be accepted by FSA until the acreage allocation is reached. For more information, call the FSA office at 765-2702.

Dead animal pickup
For dead animal pickup, call Bluegrass Recycling at 1-888-744-1186. The cost is $87.50 and the LaRue County Conservation District will reimburse the landowner 75 percent of the cost with receipt. For more information, call the Conservation District office at 358-3132.
