Private pesticide applicator training
The LaRue County Extension Office, 807 Old Elizabethtown Road, Hodgenville, will conduct private pesticide applicator trainings at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 25; and 7 p.m. Jan. 31. The two-hour training (need to attend only one session) is for farmers whose certification to purchase and apply restricted-use pesticides has expired and for new producers who need the certification. The training session will qualify attendees as certified private pesticide applicators until Dec. 31, 2016. Call the Extension Office at 358-3401.
Beef quality assurance training
The LaRue County Extension Office will conduct beef quality assurance training for beef producers at 11 a.m. Jan. 25; 7 p.m. Jan. 31; and 7 p.m. Feb. 18 at the LaRue County Extension Office. BQA certification is required for certain beef grant programs and for those selling feeder cattle in CPH sales. The training will last about one hour.
