Weather volunteers needed
The Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network is seeking volunteers to participate in a precipitation study. All you need is a rain gauge, which is available through CoCoRaHS, and access to the Internet. Each day, or as often as possible, CoCoRaHS volunteers from across the country send in their precipitation reports. The reports are plotted on maps and are used by many different organizations including the National Weather Service and agricultural interests.
More than 300 people in Kentucky have joined. For more information, visit http://www.cocorahs.org, e-mail the Louisville National Weather Service office at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 502-969-8842.
