The annual fall cleanup and recycling event is 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 19 at the LaRue County Maintenance Garage across from LaRue County High School.
Almost any item that is too large to be picked up by weekly trash service will be accepted, including appliances, scrap metal, old cars, car parts, bulky items, computers and monitors, fax machines, cell phones and other e-scrap. Vehicle, equipment and appliance batteries will also be accepted at no charge.
Tires will be accepted with a disposal fee of $1.50 per passenger tires; $6 for semi tires; $1 per inch on oversized tires.
Household trash, furniture, construction debris, chemical containers, paint and hazardous materials will not be accepted.
The fall recycling day is sponsored by LaRue Fiscal Court, LaRue County Solid Waste and the City of Hodgenville.
