An Elizabethtown woman was sentenced to 60 days after pleading guilty to charges of wanton endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident.

Ashley Renee Borden, 25, was charged June 12 with three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and one count of leaving the scene of an accident and failure to render aid (serious injury or death involved), after she rammed another vehicle with her car at the LaRue County Fairgrounds.

Hodgenville Police Chief Steve Johnson said Borden, accompanied by her 4-year-old child, drove her 2002 Pontiac Sunfire to the fairgrounds and “rammed a truck” with two occupants, Shaun Eagan and Bethany Whitlow.

She then drove back to Elizabethtown, said Johnson.

Borden pleaded guilty to amended counts of second-degree wanton endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident July 10 in LaRue District Court.

She was ordered to serve 10 days, with the balance probated for two years, in the LaRue County Detention Center, and fined $450.
