Eight indicted by grand jury in December

 Eight people were indicted Dec. 19 by a LaRue County grand jury.

They include:

Bradley Scott Hovious(1981) of Hodgenville was charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree persistent felony offender.

He is accused of entering IGA Express Nov. 18 and threatening to use physical force while armed with a knife in order to take money from a store clerk.

Bail was set at $50,000 cash. Hodgenville City Police investigated.

Hovious was also charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree persistent felony offender in regards to a May 16 incident. He is accused of entering IGA Express while armed with a knife in order to take money.

He was previously convicted of burglary, second degree, forced entry of residence; and criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Robert G. Skaggs Jr. AKA Robby Skaggs(1988) of Hodgenville, was charged with seven counts of first-degree wanton endangerment; receiving stolen property (firearm); third-degree criminal mischief; and alcohol intoxication.

He is accused of entering a business Oct. 31 and firing a gun where seven people were present; of knowingly receiving, retaining or disposing of a stolen firearm valued at $300 or more; damaging property; and appearing in a public place being manifestly under the influence of alcohol to the degree that he may endanger himself or others or property.

Bail was set in district court.

Hodgenville City Police investigated.

Farron Edward Sidebottom(1973) of Hodgenville, was charged with two counts of second-degree assault.

He is accused of biting and spitting in the face of a Hodgenville City Officer on Nov. 30.

Bail was set at $9,500.

Chad K. Hayes (1987) of Elk Horn, was charged with two counts of theft of identity without consent; two counts of theft – receipt of stolen credit or debit card; and theft by unlawful taking under $500.

He is accused of taking a woman’s debit card with the intent of making financial transactions on Nov. 3.

Bail was set at $5,000 cash only.

Hodgenville City Police investigated.

Terrico D’Jondra Perry(1980) of Vine Grove, was charged with theft of identity without consent and theft by unlawful taking under $500.

He is accused of taking a Hodgenville man’s credit card on Aug. 6.

Bail was set at $5,000 cash only.

Bryanna Marie Grant(1992) of Hodgenville, was charged with three counts of possession of a forged instrument in the second degree.

She is accused of possessing three forged checks totaling $350 and passing them at a local bank, knowing the checks were forged and having the intent to fraud. The alleged offenses occurred in April.

Bail was set in district court.

Jerry Ray Sterling(1967) of Braceville, Ill., was charged with one count of flagrant nonsupport. He is accused of persistently failing to provide child support resulting in an arrearage of $5,769. The alleged offense occurred between May 1, 2010 and Dec. 15.

Bail was set at $9,500 cash only.

Nelson County Child Support investigated.

Robert Neal(1977) of Elizabethtown, was charged with flagrant nonsupport and persistent felony offender, first degree.

He is accused of persistently failing to provide support from Jan. 1, 2010 to Dec. 14, resulting in an arrearage of $10,878.21.

Bail was set at $5,000 cash only.

They will be arraigned Jan. 9 in LaRue Circuit Court.

The indictment of a person by a grand jury is an accusation only and the person is innocent until and unless found guilty.
