Many businesses measure their productivity through their return on investments.
Using this idea, the Washington-based Center for American Progress has attempted to measure the return on investment of more then 9,000 school districts around the country.
Its report, summarized in the Jan. 26 issue of Education Week, showed LaRue County Schools are one of 20 districts in Kentucky ranking in the highest category for their return on what they invest.
